The help you need, when and where you need it...
How long does it take?

The amount of time it takes for JVL Solid Surface Solutions to fabricate your countertops is generally determined by the size of the job. However, most kitchen projects are completed within 7 to 10 working days, dependent on material availability.

We understand that as a homeowner who will experience the small inconveniences associated with home improvement work, you will be anxious to have your work completed in a timely manner. That is why we strive to complete the work as quickly as possible.

While, JVL Solid Surface Solutions often works on several projects simultaneously and delays sometimes do occur, please keep in mind that much of our reputation is that of impeccable craftsmanship. We will not compromise the quality of your project or that of other clients simply to avoid a small delay. At the same time we also keep firm control of our fabrication/ installation schedule to avoid such delays. In the end, you will be pleased with our work and your beautiful kitchen will be well worth the wait.
How much mess can you expect?

JVL Solid Surface Solutions takes great pride in not only the quality of workmanship, but also in the strides we take to minimize the mess and level of inconvenience to the homeowner.

Specialized dust collectors, vacuums, tarps and various other items are used to protect cabinets, flooring, and other areas of the home to minimize our mess.

On occasion, we ask for access to the garage (especially during windy, rainy or snow seasons) in order to complete some of the "messy" work outside of the home. This minimizes dust and reduces the chance of accidents.
For all of the precautions that we do take, because this is a construction project, homeowners should expect an element of dust in the house. We recommend waiting until the final installation is complete before doing any type of thorough cleaning.
What preperation should you make before final measurement?

You will want to be sure to clear off all countertop surfaces prior to our arrival. If you intend to purchase new cabinets, they should be completely installed before we make final measurements.

In addition, you will need to have the following items (if they apply to your project) available for our installer to either measure or take with back to the fabrication shop:
  • Sink (not applicable if you purchase a sink from us)
  • Cooktop or Range
  • Dishwasher
  • Faucets and fixtures
If elements of your home improvement project include new windows, flooring, painting, etc., it is best that those projects are completed prior to the installation of your countertop. Of course there are exceptions to this rule. Do not hesitate to ask for assistance in the determination of the order of work to be completed.

If you should have any additional questions please feel free to contact us.
